What you’ll do
- Plan and deliver a distinctive DJ programme with clean transitions and an appropriate music selection.
- Prepare track information, running orders and any music-use records requested by the station.
- Complete sound checks and provide a recorded backup when agreed.
- Create short, cleared promotional clips and share your programme with relevant listeners.
- Review listener feedback and work with the programme team to improve each show.
What you’ll bring
- Confident music selection and basic mixing or radio presentation skills.
- Reliable communication, preparation and an interest in Afro-Caribbean sounds.
- Access to a suitable computer, stable internet and DJ or broadcasting equipment appropriate to your format.
Your time and support
We ask for 8 hours per week, including preparation, agreed activities and team check-ins. This is a remote, unpaid volunteer opportunity. We’ll discuss a workable schedule, role-specific onboarding and the support you need. Live roles may include agreed evening or weekend slots; other tasks can be arranged flexibly.
You’ll work with the station founder or designated team lead. Relevant personal projects and transferable experience are welcome. Please contact us to discuss accessibility needs or an alternative application format.
